Meet Dr. Dana Swayze
Dr. Dana Swayze believes dentistry should feel personal, comfortable, and centered around what matters most to you. Her quality-first approach combines attentive listening, modern clinical care, and thoughtful treatment planning to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles that last.
At Arbor Hills Dentistry, Dr. Swayze is honored to care for generations of families, including toddlers, children, parents, and grandparents. She understands that every patient arrives with different needs, experiences, and goals. A Foundation in Science and Dentistry
As both a microbiologist and dentist, Dr. Swayze brings a deep appreciation for the connection between oral health, prevention, and overall well-being. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Southern Methodist University.
She continued her education with a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Georgia State University, where she focused her studies on dental plaque as a biofilm. This background continues to shape her commitment to preventive care and helping patients understand how small daily habits can make a meaningful difference in their long-term oral health.
Dr. Swayze earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. During dental school, she was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List for her academic achievements. She also received the Outstanding Achievement Award in Operative Dentistry and was nominated for the American College of Dentists Professionalism Award.
Continued Commitment to Excellence
Dr. Swayze is passionate about continuing education and regularly participates in advanced training and lectures to remain at the forefront of modern dentistry. Her ongoing studies include cosmetic dentistry and comprehensive, full-mouth rehabilitative treatment.
Her goal is never simply to treat a tooth. She strives to understand the whole person behind the smile and provide care that is beautiful, comfortable, functional, and made to last. She believes patients deserve honest guidance, gentle care, and treatment recommendations that reflect their individual needs, priorities, and goals.
Dr. Swayze is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Beyond the Dental Office
Dr. Swayze lives in Carrollton, Texas, with her husband, Garrett, their son, Julien, and their sweet Goldendoodle, Max. Outside of the office, she enjoys living an active, balanced life through yoga and biking to work. She also loves Argentine tango dancing, learning new languages, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
